Capital Region Restaurants That Opened or Closed in 2013

opened for businessOne of the perks of living in the Capital District is the abundance of restaurants. Tai, pub food, pizza or Italian, all within miles of your home.

The Times Union blog, Table Hopping, took the time to put together a list of restaurants that opened or closed in 2013.

Among some of the openings include the Albany Rail Yard, on Central Ave (great fries and burgers!). Bomber’s Burrito Bar opened up their first franchised location in Troy, bringing with it the same great margaritas and burritos that you would find at their Lark St or Schenectady locations. And Selena’s Cafe, which has been a Troy mainstay for some time, opened up for business in East Greenbush, offering residence a salad bar, soups and sandwiches to keep their hunger at bay during lunch.

Some closings include Costanzo’s Steak House in Waterford, The Irish Mist in Troy and Elda’s on Lark in Albany.

We want to know — which new restaurants did you fall in love with in 2013? Which ones are you sad to see go?

You can find the complete list here.
