In 2015, it was ranked the #1 school district out of all 83 districts in the Capital Region.
Bethlehem is a tight-knit community that promotes local shopping and foot traffic. A popular location is known as “Four Corners”, where the town comes together several times of the year, with annual holiday and summer parades.
One of the best places in Delmar for families is the 5 Rivers Environmental Education Center. It offers free and low-cost programs year-round. You can also visit to hike and use their small nature center. The Bethlehem Public Library is very good, with lots of programs for kids and families.
The Mohawk-Hudson Land Conservancy has several pieces of property in Bethlehem. These are all small and have easy hiking trails suitable for little ones. There is a lot for families to do in the area.
